Basic Purpose of the Job

To organize and manage job cards operations for cars under repair in such a way as to control the productivity, utilization and efficiency of available technicians / working hours.

Responsibilities

• Receive the Job card from the service advisor or to assist in issuing it in accordance to the repairs approved with the customer / required for the car.
• Organize and assign the technician that is most suitable to perform the required mechanical and / or electrical repair and plan the variance movements of the car between the assigned technicians.
• Record on the job card details of the actual work done and the time spent on each function / operation performed on the car.
• Ensure completion of required repair, full recording of the utilized hours by technician wise and the parts required for the repair, before closing the job card.
• Deliver completed job cards to the respective service advisor with other supporting documents for this review and issuance of the service Invoice.
• Ensure proper control on the available technicians and working hours to maintain workshop productivity and efficiency.
• Prepare daily reports on the workshop actual utilization of available technicians and working hours and for the staff productivity and efficiency.
• Maintain control over other workshop supplies, materials and consumables.
• Guide the service team and maintain good relation with them to facilitate the process of the repairing jobs in the workshop.
