Service Advisor

Basic Purpose of the Job

To plan, organize and manage the daily incoming / and out going car flow to and from the workshop in such a way as to maximize the utilization of available hours and provide quality services to the customers while delivering and receiving their cars in accordance with the company’s prescribed standard which meets the customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Meet the customer, discuses with him his complain and properly record the same.
  • Use his best diagnostic skill for assessment of possible fault / failure in the car, record the requirements correctly to avoid any ambiguity that could affect the repair..
  • Explain to the customer the required repairing job and its estimated cost and obtain customer approval to do the repair job.
  • Open respective job card once obtained the customers’ confirmation, including on it clear and unambiguous work instruction for the technician to carry out the job in proper manner.
  • Keep the customer constantly posted on the status of back order parts, to assure the customer of the company’s genuine interest in sorting out his problem so as to win customer’s loyalty.
  • Ensure that appropriate costing has been done for the actual repair and that there are no such major variance in such cost as previously advised to the customer.
  • Prepare summary of the jobs carried out under the provision of warranty, close the job card and issue the respective warranty invoice.
  • Process the warranty claim and follow up with the Principal until the claim is settled. Monitor the pending warranty claims not yet settled and carry out regular follow up with the Principal to investigate the reason for the delay settlement and react accordingly.
  • Check actual work done on the repaired car upon completion of the job and before closing the job card to ensure the quality of work and that it meets prescribed standard and satisfy the customer.
  • Establish healthy and profitable relationship by proactively communication and following up with the existing as well as prospective customer so as to improve and enhance the customer base.
