Basic Purpose of the Job

To plan, organize and manage daily workshop operation in such a was as to maximize the utilization of available hours and provide high quality repair and maintenance services in accordance with the manufacturer’s prescribed standard which meets the customer satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Implement TSM productivity improvement plans, especially in the following areas
  1. Leveling work load
  2. Visual control process
  3. Just in time part supply
  4. Orderliness & cleanliness of the workshop
  5. Final inspection
  6. Achievement analyses on regular basics
• Maintain proper workshop loading and coordination between the technical groups within the workshop zone.
• Ensure proper and suitable equipments and tools are availability and the effective utilization of those equipments and the service facilities.
• Control the repair flow inside workshop, ensure proper utilization of the actual time available and that technicians are distributed in groups as per skill requirements.
• Ensure that repair estimates are reasonable to the actual repair to be done for the car.
• Ensure that technicians are following quality control policy, proper repair procedures and are fully aware of overall service quality and standard.
• Ensure that repairs are carried out as per request within promise delivery time and estimated cost and that the vehicles are fixed right 1st time by implementing the set of quality procedures.
• Measure the actual cost versus the estimated cost and clarify reasons for unusual variances
• Conduct regular checks on the maintenance of work shop equipments.
• Train the Technicians about logical procedures for professional and updated techniques for carrying out the repairs.
• Emphasis technicians morale and encourage them to propose their suggestions to improve the repair techniques and methods and the service station productivity as a whole.
• Conduct session and on duty training exercises for the technicians, when suitable and / or found required.
• Carry out regular checks on the maintenance of Workshop Equipments and facilities.
• Ensure job controller are feeding correct data regarding the job number, the repairs carried out and update the overall job status without delay.
• Ensure no damages to the car during repair.
• Ensures High Quality of Vehicle Washing prior the Vehicle Delivery.
